'Prison restaurant job will help me change my life'

A restaurant run by female prisoners has been ranked number one in its county on Tripadvisor, just five months after it opened.

The Clink, in the grounds of HMP Styal in Cheshire, is staffed entirely by inmates who prepare meals and serve the public.

Waitress Debbie, 45, who is serving five and a half years for conspiracy to sell Class A drugs, says the project will help her change her life when she leaves prison.

She told the Victoria Derbyshire programme's Dan Johnson: "If I didn't get all of this training and help I'd be going out and doing exactly the same thing again because I haven't got the qualifications to better my life, whereas now I have".

The Victoria Derbyshire programme is broadcast on weekdays between 09:15-11:00 BST on BBC Two and BBC News Channel.
