Choking baby prompts first aid course for new mothers
A woman whose baby's life was saved by firefighters when he started choking has set up a first aid course for other mothers.
Francesca Lowe, from Wigan, Greater Manchester, has organised basic first aid classes at Lowton High School where nine mothers are receiving training.
Ms Lowe's son Thomas started choking during a car journey in May and was able to pull into a fire station for help.
She said: "I think you should be taught [first aid] when you're pregnant, taught when you've had your baby... We should learn to do first aid."
