Manchester Piccadilly Gardens drug dealer tackled by police

This is the moment a drug dealer unsuccessfully tries to evade undercover police officers.

Ali Ahmed, 23 and of no fixed abode, was spotted supplying drugs from the Victorian Monument, next to the children's playground in Piccadilly Gardens.

After being caught, a total of 101 wraps of heroin and cocaine were recovered.

Ahmed was sentenced on 16 September to 45 months in prison and given a four-year Criminal Behaviour Order.

The footage of his arrest has been released by Greater Manchester Police as part of its crackdown on crime and antisocial behaviour in the area.
