Oldham GP surgery set up by student rated outstanding
A GP surgery which was set up by a student doctor is rated outstanding by inspectors for its "exceptional health care".
Seven years ago Laura Neilson, who was living in a deprived part of Oldham, set up Hill Top Surgery after hearing residents wanted a GP practice.
It has now been named as one of the top three surgeries in the country, and rated as outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Inspectors said Hill Top Surgery, which is run as a not for profit company, provided exceptional health care.
