Brian the dog helps 'reluctant readers' at Leigh school

A primary school in Greater Manchester has a "novel" way to encourage students who are "reluctant readers".

Leigh St Mary's Primary School has introduced the idea of children reading to a dog.

It's thought Books with Brian boosts the children's confidence as he listens without judging.
