Police officer's River Irwell rescue caught on bodycam

A police officer's 8ft (2.4m) jump into a freezing river to save a man was captured on his body camera.

PC Mohammed Nadeem went into the River Irwell in Bury, Greater Manchester, on Saturday.

Supt Rick Jackson, of Greater Manchester Police, commended the student officer, who he said has now been nicknamed "The Hoff".
