Giant Santa returns to Manchester city centre

A giant Santa has been lifted into place in Manchester city centre.

The 12m (40ft) figure is located outside Manchester Central Library in St Peter's Square.

Powered by low energy LED lightbulbs it weighs 2.3 tonnes and is part of the city's Christmas light trail.
