Bury woman seriously injured after house explosion

Residents have been evacuated from their homes after a house explosion which left a woman with serious injuries.

The blast occurred just before 11:00 GMT on Nelson Street in Bury, Greater Manchester.

Surrounding streets have been cordoned off, with residents asked by police to leave their homes.

St Luke's Primary School was also closed after the explosion.
