Hope for Liverpool's amputee children
More than 3,000 people contract meningitis every year - among them are hundreds of children who often have to face up to losing a limb.
To help children in Merseyside, the Meningitis Research Foundation held a child amputee day at Liverpool's Alder Hey Hospital.
Sports coaches from Everton Football Club offered their support as BBC Journalist and double amputee Kathleen Hawkins reports.
