Quarry Bank Mill WW1 exhibition highlights family's loss

The heartache and loss caused by World War One forms the focus of a new exhibition at an 18th Century cotton mill.

Quarry Bank Mill in Wilmslow, Cheshire, was owned by the Greg family, whose two sons were killed in the conflict, and whose two daughters served as nurses at the front.

For the first time, photos and poetry penned by grieving relatives have gone on display at the National Trust property.

The Heroes of Adventure exhibition also looks at how the war affected workers at the mill.
