Manchester trams have Shakespeare performed at rush hour

Commuters travelling into Manchester by tram have been treated to extracts from Shakespeare's plays, performed by a trio of actors.

The GB theatre company were promoting a series of outdoor performances around Manchester at the weekend.

Actress Iona Thonger said: "It's just to show that Shakespeare isn't boring and to create a real buzz."

One commuter commented that "it definitely made for an interesting morning".
