Steve Prescott: Late rugby star's pioneering surgery saves lives
Pioneering surgery that the late rugby league star Steve Prescott underwent for a rare form of abdominal cancer is saving lives.
Prescott had been diagnosed with pseudomyxoma and volunteered to trial a multi-organ transplant.
It was successful but he died from complications three weeks later in 2013.
His widow Linzi and doctors at Oxford Transplant Centre reveal the legacy left by the St Helens and Hull player.
