Sperm whale washed ashore at Hunstanton attracts sightseers

Crowds of people went to Hunstanton beach in Norfolk at the weekend to see the body of a whale washed ashore on Friday night.

The 30ft (9m) sperm whale became lodged under rocks and could not be shifted back out to sea.

Council officials are now considering how to dispose of the carcass.
