Viking re-enactment marches through Sheringham

Vikings with flaming torches marched their way through a Norfolk town to mark its 9th Century links with Scandinavia.

The annual festival in Sheringham was held to mark the time when the surrounding area was under Danelaw.

The parade and battles, by the Wuffa Saxon and Viking Re-enactment Society, culminated with the burning of a traditional longboat on the town's beach.
