Northamptonshire councils clash over Rushden plan

The deputy leader of Rushden Town Council, Richard Lewis, and Northampton Borough Council leader David Mackintosh explain why their local authorities disagree over plans for a £50m shopping and leisure complex.

The Rushden Lakes development, which could create up to 2,000 jobs, has been called in by the communities secretary for further inspection.

East Northamptonshire Council approved the plans in October but the government will now make a final decision.
