Mallard designer Sir Nigel Gresley's grandson joins celebrations
The grandson of a Derbyshire engineer who designed the world's fastest steam locomotive has paid homage to his grandfather's achievements.
Tim Godfrey was born the same month as Mallard, designed by Sir Nigel Gresley, was finished.
Mr Godfrey visited celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the engine's successful attempt at the world record.
East Midlands Today's James Roberson meets Mr Godfrey, Jacqueline Frank from the National Railroad Museum in the USA, and Paul Kirkman of the National Railway Museum in York.
