Paddy Tipping police commissioner targets binge drinkers
Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner Paddy Tipping is calling for restrictions on the sale of alcohol as part of a strategy to tackle alcohol related crime.
Mr Tipping admitted 24-hour licensing, introduced by a Labour government while he was a Labour MP, was "a disaster".
Chris Kenny, director of Public Health Nottingham & Nottinghamshire, underlined the damage excessive drinking can do but Treasury Minister Nicky Morgan MP said responsible people should not be penalised.
