Detour to East Midlands Airport due to road works

People travelling to East Midlands Airport have been warned they face an 11 mile (17.7 km) detour due to overnight road works on a busy motorway junction.

The work on the A453 near junction 24 of the M1 will last about six weeks and could affect people trying to get to early morning flights.
