Marriage proposal at Christmas lights switch-on

Russ Milner proposed to his partner Andrea Glasby during a Christmas lights switch-on in their street in Giltbrook in Nottinghamshire.

The proposal was captured on camera because the event was being filmed for BBC East Midlands Today.

Andrea, who has been with Russ for 16 years, said it was "just unbelievable" and "proper brought a tear to my eye".
