£350m upgrade of Great Western Main Line begins
A £350m upgrade of the Great Western Main Line has begun with signalling improvements.
It is the first step towards electrification of the line through Swindon and Didcot to London.
The First Great Western rail operator said it would mean faster trains and less overcrowding.
