Garsington pupils bake bread from own wheat

A group of pupils from Garsington CE Primary School in Oxford have baked their own loaf of bread for their harvest festival after growing the wheat themselves.

In the spring they ploughed a field and scattered seeds on the land, before tending the plot and watching the wheat grow.

After harvesting it they made their own flour, from which they baked the bread.
