Homeless carer's life in her car

A diabetic woman who works as a carer in Oxfordshire has resorted to living in her car after losing her home.

Ann (not her real name) cannot afford a deposit for a flat and is on a waiting list for a social house from Cherwell District Council, but says she needs to stay in the area as she loves her job.

She told BBC Radio Oxford's Kat Orman that her situation is "hard going", she relies on public conveniences and friends who "occasionally" allow her to take a shower.

Our video shows how belongings have built up in her own car, while Kat interviews her in a BBC vehicle.

You can listen to her full story here.
