Eight-year-old boy to complete Ironman triathlon for Sport Relief

A primary school child will shortly complete an Ironman challenge for Sport Relief.

Eight-year-old Freddy Ingram chose to swim a gruelling 2.3 miles, complete a 112-mile bike ride and run a whole marathon over the course of eight weeks.

He said: "I just wanted to make money for charity and do kind things for people."

The Banbury boy has 13 miles left to run and 16 miles to cycle before completing his challenge.
