Impaled farmer describes Shropshire tractor accident

A farmer who survived being impaled by a tractor spike has said he "just had to stand there" as it entered his body.

Graham Heatley, 52, was speared by the 18in-long baling prong at his Shropshire farm in February.

It went straight through his body but missed all his major organs.

Mr Heatley was airlifted to hospital with the inch-wide spike still in his body. He is now recovering at home in Lyneal, near Ellesmere.
