Georgia Williams murder: Chief Constable admits 'we got it wrong'
The Chief Constable of West Mercia Police said his force had been "shaken to the core" by the murder of Georgia Williams, and admitted they had "got it wrong".
A serious case review found there were "shortfalls" in the forces's investigation of Jamie Reynolds' attempt to strangle a 16-year-old girl at his home in 2008.
Reynolds went on to murder Georgia at his home in Wellington in Shropshire in May 2013.
Chief Constable David Shaw said he had offered a heartfelt apology to the Williams family.
