Dalian Atkinson had contacted charity for ex-footballers

A charity which supports former footballers had been in contact with Dalian Atkinson shortly before his death.

The former Aston Villa, Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday striker died after being shot with a Taser by police outside his father's home in Telford, Shropshire, in the early hours of Monday.
