Mother's joy as narcolepsy link to swine flu jab acknowledged

A Somerset mother has said she is delighted the government has accepted that the swine flu vaccine may have triggered her son's sleep disorder.

Caroline Hadfield, from Frome, set up a support group when her son Joshua developed narcolepsy after being given the jab.

But she has also been told she will not be eligible for compensation as her son is not ill enough to qualify.
