Porlock oyster farm pilot receives funding

The oyster industry disappeared from Porlock in Somerset some 80 years ago but a new plan could mean it starting again.

Porlock Futures, a voluntary group dedicated to encouraging economic growth in the area, says it would create new jobs in the area.

Exmoor National Park, the parish council and the Shellfish Association of Great Britain have collectively come up with £17,000 to fund a pilot project.
