Cancer mum Heidi Loughlin "no regrets" over delaying chemo to have baby

A woman with breast cancer said she had "no regrets" over delaying chemotherapy in order to give her unborn baby the best chance, even though her daughter only lived a short time after being delivered prematurely.

Heidi Loughlin 32, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive breast cancer while pregnant with her third child.

Ally Louise Smith was born 12 weeks early on 11 December weighing 2lb 5oz, and died eight days later.

Ms Loughlin told BBC News when she saw her daughter it "reaffirmed how absolutely worth every risk she was".
