Wentworth Woodhouse a mining family's former home
Parts of a Grade I listed country house are sinking due to old mine workings, according to the current owners.
The property Wentworth Woodhouse is the former home of the Fitzwilliam coal mining family but had fallen into a state of structural disrepair, partly because of the number of mining shafts in the area.
The house in South Yorkshire has more than 300 rooms and plans are being developed for it to contain a museum.
