Staffordshire dairy farm bottling its own milk

A dairy farm is bottling and selling its own milk in a Staffordshire village.

A major supermarket buys 80% of the milk produced at Bradeley Farm, near Cheadle, but the rest is sold in the local area.

Michael Wheat, of Bradeley Farm, said he bottles milk bought from his cousin, who owns the cattle.

The milk produced by the farm costs 63p a pint, more expensive than the supermarket.

Milkman Kevin Campell said many of the elderly customers appreciated the service.

Customer James Ainsworth said: "This is fresh is from the cows, so we do not mind paying that bit more."
