Cheadle widow praised for raising £100k for Guide Dogs
Ann Moorhouse from Cheadle, in Staffordshire, has raised more than £100,000 for the Guide Dogs charity.
She said she first decided to help the charity after the death of her husband 17 years ago and turned to car boot sales as a way to raise funds.
Within a year she had the £5,000 to sponsor her first dog - funding used to raise and train them.
Since then she has sponsored 14 guide dogs.
Jaina Mistry's guide dog Kath was one of those to be sponsored by Ms Moorhouse and she described being partnered with the black Labrador as a "special moment".
Ms Mistry, from Leicester, said the previous two years had been challenging, but Kath had given her her independence and confidence back.
