Damon Albarn praises 'brave' Latitude for giving him headline slot

Damon Albarn has praised the Latitude Festival for a "brave" decision to give him a headline slot off the back of his latest "slow" album.

The singer played a set based around Everyday Robots and he was joined later by his Blur band mate Graham Coxon.

It was his second appearance at the Suffolk festival following his debut in 2007 performing The Good, The Bad and The Queen.

Albarn said that if Latitude had been on when he was growing up near Colchester he would definitely have gone to it.
