Crashed US military F-15 jet filmed in training

A US military jet from RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk has crashed during a combat training mission in a field near Spalding, Lincolnshire.

The F-15D, a two-seater aircraft worth about $35m dollars, was being flown by one pilot and crashed near homes and Weston Hills primary school about 15:30 BST.

The pilot ejected safely and escaped with minor injuries.

The US military training jet was filmed on a similar training mission by the BBC in 2010.
