Historic Ipswich street closed after lorry gets stuck

Part of Ipswich town centre was closed off after a delivery lorry hit a listed building and became wedged, external on a street corner.

The B&M lorry did not manage to make the turn on the corner of Northgate Street and Old Foundry Road, near the main library and PJ McGinty's pub.

Council staff are assessing the damage to buildings and whether they need to be supported. The vehicle has now been removed.
