US FA-18 C crash pilot 'kept aircraft issue' from maintenance
An experienced US pilot repeatedly suggested he had navigation system issues in the hours before he died in a crash-landing, it has emerged.
Maj Taj Sareen died when FA-18 C United States Marine Corps jet came down at Temple Farm in Redmere, Cambridgeshire, shortly after taking off from RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk in October 2015.
The accident investigation report - released to the BBC - said there was evidence his navigation system was "not 100%".
It also said had the weather on the day of the crash been better, he might still be alive.
