Summer solstice: People gather in Lowestoft for sunrise

Early risers gathered at one of the first places in the UK see the sun rise on summer solstice 2023.

It marks the longest day of the year, which means it has the most hours of sunlight.

People watched from Ness Point in Lowestoft, the most easterly spot in the UK, where sunrise began at 04:30 BST.

Meanwhile, Suffolk Day is being celebrated across the county.
