Exhibition marks The Level reopening in Brighton

An exhibition of photos and paintings is to mark the reopening of The Level in the heart of Brighton.

The 8.5 acre (3.4 hectare) park, which has been closed to the public for nine months, is due to reopen in July, following a £2.3m refurbishment.

A community celebration is planned for September.

BBC South East's Chrissie Reidy spoke to Beryl Tucknott, who contributed a painting, Duncan Blinkhorn, organiser of the Brighton Urban Free Festival, and Imogen Makepeace, who was arrested in the park as she joined protesters to support the Women's Peace Movement in 1983.
