Repainting Beachy Head lighthouse's red and white stripes

A team of five, including two abseilers, has spent the past three weeks repainting Beachy Head lighthouse.

The maintenance work was carried out after local campaigners, with celebrity support from Eddie Izzard, John Craven and Bill Bryson, raised £27,000 needed for the facelift of the south coast landmark.
