Medals of 'left for dead' soldier to be sold in Eastbourne

The medals awarded to WW1 soldier Robert Collie who was left for dead in a pile of corpses, are to be auctioned.

He had been shot in the stomach and was left for dead at the Battle at Passchendaele in 1917 when he was discovered by a doctor who noticed a faint twitch and saved his life.
