Goodwood Festival of Speed crash victim in record attempt
A man who lost a leg at the Goodwood Festival of Speed is returning to the motor racing circuit to attempt to break a world record.
Steve Tarrant was hit by a Formula 1 racing car travelling at more than 100mph (161kmph) while he was marshalling at the finish line at the West Sussex circuit 14 years ago.
Mr Tarrant, 53, who still marshals at international events, is preparing to ride his mobility scooter around the circuit for 24 hours - aiming to break the world record by covering 200 miles (322km) in a day.
