Sussex veterans mark 70th anniversary of Battle of Monte Cassino

Veterans from Sussex who fought in one of the bloodiest battles of World War Two have returned to Italy to mark its 70th anniversary.

Nearly 200,000 soldiers fought for months in the Battle of Monte Cassino, with heavy losses on both sides.

Fifty-five thousand Allied soldiers were killed or injured, along with 20,000 German casualties.

BBC South East Today's Robin Gibson spoke to veterans Bill Clark, Jim Knox and Lewis Renshaw.
