Hastings Pier gets thumbs-up from first visitors

The first visitors to Hastings Pier, which has reopened six years after a fire virtually destroyed it, have given the attraction the thumbs-up.

Queues formed outside the £14.2m redevelopment before Wednesday's official opening.
