Murmuration of starlings captured over Brighton Pier

Marc Abraham captured the spectacular swirling movement of a murmuration of starlings near Brighton Pier.

Experts believe starlings behave in this way for warmth, protection against predators and to share information about food sources.

The footage captured the arrival, and swift departure, of a bird that decided to take a closer look at the murmuration.
