World Cup trek: South America by foot

Three football fans from the north of England have set off for the World Cup in Brazil, on a journey which will be mostly by foot.

After their plane lands in Argentina, Pete Johnston and Adam Burns from Teesside, and Dave Bewick from Cumbria, will begin a 1,221 mile (1,966km) trek.

It is expected to take them 80 days to travel through three countries and 29 towns and villages, to reach host city Porto Alegre four days before the games begin.

Stuart Whincup met up with two of them before they headed off.
