Northumberland beach rescue seal nursed back to health

A seal pup stranded on the Northumberland coast has been returned to the North Sea.

The RSPCA reserve in Norfolk, where sick mammals are usually sent, was unable to accept it as it was full due to the recent tidal surges.

Instead, staff and volunteers at Tynemouth's Blue Reef Aquarium stepped in to nurse it back to help.
