Antony Gormley says Angel of the North is 'hidden' by trees
The man who created The Angel of the North - one of the country's most famous landmarks - has said its best views are being obscured by towering trees.
Sir Antony Gormley has called for them to be cut down so that the giant sculpture can be seen in all its glory by motorists travelling along the A1M in Gateshead.
Highways England said it is working with Gateshead Council to find a way to resolve the problem in a cost-effective manner.
