Tanni Grey-Thompson is Northumbria University chancellor
Probably Britain's greatest Paralympic athlete, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson has been inaugurated as the new chancellor of Northumbria University.
Born with spina bifida, the 11-time gold medal winner competed in five Paralympics and won the London wheelchair marathon six times.
She also won 13 medals at the World Championships and in 2010 was elevated to the House of Lords as a crossbench peer with a focus on sport and disability.
Baroness Grey-Thompson says she's looking forward to working with so many positive young people at the university.
