Alabama Rot: Swindon dog owner raises funds
A woman whose dog died after contracting a serious disease is raising money to fund research into the illness.
Jessica Worthington's cocker spaniel Pippa fell ill after a walk in Marlborough - showing signs of kidney damage within a few days.
She had developed "Alabama Rot" - a disease first identified in the US in the 1980s - and died days later.
Miss Worthington, a veterinary nurse from Swindon, said her other dog, Molly, was also ill but survived.
