Stonehenge tunnel plan will 'destroy ancient landscape'

A farmer who owns land which a Stonehenge tunnel would pass through says it would be "modern scar on an ancient landscape".

Rachel Hosier said if the scheme were to go ahead it would leave her "heartbroken".

The western end of the tunnel is due to emerge close to the ancient burial site Bush Barrow, which is on the 1,300-acre farm bought by her great-grandfather in the 1950s.

Highways England said it would have to work "very carefully to sort out the setting and placement" of the western end of the tunnel.
